What’s Next?
We are so grateful to Changemaker Central, IEEE, and Arizona State University for funding our project, as now we have begun a new phase of our project. While our initial goal was to outfit 12 ger’s with our system — that has now become a reality.
Our system has impacted the lives of so many in Ulaanbaatar that we want to develop more. We are currently working with the residents to enact more systems. We are in the process of developing a local supply chain with our community partner, the Taiwan Fund for Children and Families, to locally source the components of the system. We have seen the drastic impact of our system on the health of the children and families that we are continuing to enact more.
Currently, Team Leader Bryan is working with Pediatricians at Phoenix Children’s Hospital to conduct a study on the impact of the coal burning stoves on the health of residents. This partnership has allowed us to further understand the human health impact of these stoves and our solution.
